Summary

The goal of this experimental study is to learn if the Nurse-Led Self-Compassion and Kindness Program works to improve self-compassion, compassion toward peers, and peer relationships among adolescents. The main hypotheses to be tested in the study are:

Post-intervention self-compassion scale scores will be significantly higher in the experimental group compared to the control group.

Post-intervention compassion scale scores will be significantly higher in the experimental group compared to the control group.

Post-intervention peer relationships scale scores will be significantly higher in the experimental group compared to the control group.

Follow-up self-compassion scale scores will be significantly higher in the experimental group compared to the control group.

Follow-up compassion scale scores will be significantly higher in the experimental group compared to the control group.

Follow-up peer relationships scale scores will be significantly higher in the experimental group compared to the control group.

Researchers will compare the experimental group (receiving the program) to a control group to see if the Nurse-Led Self-Compassion and Kindness Program is effective in enhancing compassion and peer relationships in adolescents.

Participants will:

Participate in the Nurse-Led Self-Compassion and Kindness Program 1 day a week for 6 weeks

Complete the pre-test, post-test, and follow-up test questionnaires

Nurse-Led Self-Compassion and Kindness Program

This is a 6-week, 40-minute program implemented once a week, focusing on developing compassion and kindness towards themselves and their peers. The program aims to strengthen adolescents' compassion for themselves and others, thereby improving their peer relationships.
