Summary
The aim of the present study was to compare the effects of six weeks of velocity-based (VBT) and traditional percentage-based (TRD) strength training on 20m sprint, vertical jump, and aerobic capacity in elite young football players. The main questios it aims to answer is: Does VBT have higher positive effects than TRD on the above-mentioned markers.
Researchers compared VBT to TRD to see if VBT works to enhannce better 20m sprint, vertical jump, and aerobic capacity in elite young football players.
Participants:
* Performed VBT used squat training or VBT used squat plus bench press training or TRD used squat training
* Take VBTs or TRD 3day/week for 6 weeks Visit the lab for measurements annd tests bbbefore annd after 6 weeks trainninng programme

Velocity Based Squat and Bench Press Training
Squat and bench press strength programme was used for 6 weeks, 3 day/week imediatilly after regularly soccer practice. 1-RM of squat and bench press were calculated weekly, and the 6-week training program was updated weekly.
