Separate drug investigations lead to arrests in Karachi, Kentucky and Indiana

Police in Karachi, Kentucky and Indiana arrested three suspects in separate drug investigations involving alleged trafficking in Ice, methamphetamine and cocaine. One case involved a controlled purchase, while another led to the seizure of nearly 60 grams of cocaine and a firearm.

Police in Karachi, McCracken County, Kentucky, and Evansville, Indiana arrested three suspects in separate drug investigations, including alleged trafficking in methamphetamine, cocaine and Ice. The arrests followed a joint operation near the Lyari River, a controlled purchase of suspected methamphetamine on April 21, 2026, and a traffic stop in Evansville where nearly 60 grams of cocaine and a firearm were seized.

In Karachi, the Special Investigation Unit said a joint operation conducted with a federal civilian intelligence agency on a tip-off led to the arrest of narcotics supplier Farooq alias Jani Abro during an encounter near the Lyari River. The suspect was taken into custody in wounded condition. The SIU said the suspect was allegedly involved in supplying Ice, heroin and crystal methamphetamine in the city and had been involved in the narcotics trade since 2019 along with his two brothers, Arif alias Pappu and Naeem.

In McCracken County, Drug Division detectives conducted the controlled purchase of suspected methamphetamine from 32-year-old Hannah Terry on April 21, 2026, as part of an ongoing investigation. Terry was taken into custody following a traffic stop on Said Road in McCracken County and was found to be in possession of evidence consistent with illegal drug trafficking at the time of her arrest. She has a prior conviction for trafficking in methamphetamine out of Marshall County and faces a charge of first degree trafficking in a controlled substance, methamphetamine, second or subsequent offense. Terry was incarcerated in the McCracken County Regional Jail, and the investigation is ongoing with additional arrests and charges likely.

In Evansville, police said 26-year-old Aubrey Davenport was arrested for selling narcotics out of her home. Detectives conducted a traffic stop on Monday where nearly 60 grams of cocaine were found inside her vehicle, and officials said they also seized a firearm during the traffic stop. Davenport was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail and is being charged with Dealing Cocaine.
