Laurel police arrest four, seek one more after two-month drug investigation

Laurel police said four people were arrested and one more is wanted after a two-month-long drug investigation. Officers said they found heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine and a .38 caliber handgun at a Laurel apartment complex home.

Laurel police said they arrested four people and one more is still wanted after a two-month-long drug investigation. Police said they executed a search warrant on a home in the 500 block of the Little Creek Apartment Complex in Laurel, where two children were inside during the search.

Police said officers found 2.73 grams of heroin, 1.1 grams of cocaine, and .1 grams of crack cocaine, packaged in a way they said is consistent with drug dealing. Officers also found a .38 caliber handgun.

A 33-year-old Laurel man was arrested and committed to Sussex Correctional on charges of manufacture/deliver/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, Tier 2; possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, Tier 2; possession of a controlled substance; conspiracy 2nd degree to commit felony; and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child by committing a drug act. He was also issued a no-contact order for the Little Creek Apartment Complex.

A 38-year-old Laurel woman was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, Tier 2; possession of a controlled substance; conspiracy 2nd degree to commit felony; and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child by committing a drug act. She was released on her own recognizance.

A 31-year-old Seaford man was arrested and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on charges of manufacture/deliver/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, Tier 2; possession of a controlled substance; conspiracy 2nd degree to commit felony; and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child by committing a drug act. He was issued a no-contact order for the Little Creek Apartment Complex.

A 34-year-old Laurel man was arrested and charged with manufacture/deliver/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, Tier 2; possession of a controlled substance, Tier 2; and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child by committing a drug act. He was arraigned and released on a $7,000 unsecured bail and was also issued a no-contact order for the Little Creek Apartment Complex.

Police said a 34-year-old Laurel man remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous with a history of violence. Police said he is actively wanted for possess, purchase, own, or control a firearm by a person prohibited; manufacture/deliver/possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, Tier 2; possession of a controlled substance; conspiracy 2nd degree to commit felony; two counts of endangering the welfare of a child by committing a drug act; possession of human growth hormone without a prescription; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
