Eight arrested in Hartford narcotics operation, over 1,000 fentanyl sleeves seized

Multiple people were arrested following a narcotics investigation Wednesday in Hartford, Connecticut. A city-wide enforcement operation targeted locations known for narcotics distribution, according to police.

As a result of the operation, police seized one Taurus 9mm semi-automatic handgun containing nineteen live rounds, 1,004 sleeves of fentanyl, approximately 95 grams of crack cocaine, approximately nine grams of cocaine, one pound of marijuana, and $8,272 in U.S. currency.

Raymond Colon, 26, of Hartford, was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, criminal possession of a firearm, large capacity magazine, possession of narcotics, possession with intent to sell, and sale of a controlled substance.

Luis Serrano, 23, of Hartford, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession with intent to sell. Michael Stevenson, 57, of Hartford, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession with intent to sell. Dashawn Coleman, 34, of Hartford, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession with intent to sell. Edward Rosado, 34, of Hartford, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession with intent to sell. Luis Robles, 29, of Hartford, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession with intent to sell. Dashawn Smith, 32, of Hartford was charged with possession of narcotics and possession with intent to sell.

Malik Montanez, 50, of Hartford was charged with failure to appear and third-degree trespass. A PRAWN warrant was served.
