Guardant Health CMO to Resign; Delfi and Singular Name New Leaders

Guardant Health announced that its chief medical officer will resign effective May 8. Delfi Diagnostics appointed a new member to its board of directors, and Singular Genomics named a new CEO.

Guardant Health announced that Craig Eagle, the firm's chief medical officer, will resign effective May 8. Before joining Guardant, Eagle served as VP of medical affairs oncology for Roche subsidiary Genentech. He also previously served as a VP at Pfizer.

Delfi Diagnostics has appointed Charles Newton to its board of directors. Newton most recently served as CFO of Lyell Immunopharma. Prior to Lyell, he spent more than 25 years in healthcare investment banking, including senior leadership roles at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, and Morgan Stanley. Newton currently serves on the board of directors of Novavax, Coherus Oncology, and Keros Therapeutics. He previously served on the boards of 2seventy bio, until its acquisition by Bristol Myers Squibb, and Carmot Therapeutics until its acquisition by Roche.

Singular Genomics has named John Stark as its new CEO. Stark previously served as CEO of spatial biology platform company Resolve Biosciences. Prior to Resolve, he served as the CEO of protein sequencing platform company Quantum-Si and the CEO of Celsee, a single-cell genomics platform company acquired by Bio-Rad in 2020. Josh Stahl, Singular's current CEO, will transition to a new role as an independent director on the board.
