BriaCell Transfers Soluble CD80 License to BriaPro; Four Posters Accepted at AACR 2026
BriaCell Therapeutics announced an asset purchase agreement transferring its Soluble CD80 license to majority-owned subsidiary BriaPro, while four abstracts were accepted for presentation at the 2026 AACR Annual Meeting.
BriaCell Therapeutics and its majority-owned subsidiary BriaPro Therapeutics announced on February 18, 2026, a definitive asset purchase agreement under which BriaPro will acquire BriaCell's exclusive license to develop and commercialize Soluble CD80 for cancer treatment, along with related assets. As consideration, BriaPro will issue 23,972,589 common shares to BriaCell, raising BriaCell's ownership in BriaPro to approximately 78 percent, with closing targeted for around March 12, 2026, pending disinterested shareholder approval and an independent valuation.
BriaPro will hold worldwide development and commercialization rights and pay the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) a 2 percent royalty on future product sales. BriaCell will provide BriaPro with a credit facility of up to $3 million to fund research and development of Soluble CD80, which has shown promising anti-tumor activity and immune-boosting effects in animal models.
Separately, BriaCell announced that four abstracts have been accepted for poster presentation at the 2026 American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting taking place from April 17-22 at San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, CA. The accepted abstracts highlight research related to BriaCell's cellular immunotherapy platform, including the Company's ongoing pivotal Phase 3 study of Bria-IMT in combination with an immune checkpoint inhibitor (ClinicalTrials.gov identifier: NCT06072612) and research supporting Bria-OTS+, BriaCell's next-generation personalized off-the-shelf immunotherapy program.
Poster titles and presentation details will become available on March 17, 2026 at 4:30 PM ET, when the abstracts will be published in the online Proceedings of AACR.
