Summary

Patients with heart failure often have high blood sugar (glucose).

DRUG

Intravenous insulin

Half of subjects will receive insulin through the intravenous route while the other half will receive 4 injections per day.

Subcutaneous insulin

Half of subjects will receive insulin through the intravenous route while the other half will receive 4 injections per day.
