20/20 BioLabs Expands Longevity Platform with Chronic Kidney Disease Prediction Technology

20/20 BioLabs has licensed ROKIT Healthcare's chronic kidney disease prediction algorithm for its longevity platform, expanding from inflammation tracking to specific risk detection. The technology will be integrated into the company's OneTest for Longevity program, with potential applications for improving outcomes in regenerative treatments. The agreement includes revenue sharing and could lead to exclusive commercialization rights for ROKIT in East Asian markets.

20/20 BioLabs has secured an exclusive U.S. technology license and access agreement to bring ROKIT Healthcare's chronic kidney disease prediction algorithm into its longevity testing platform. The deal expands the Maryland-based clinical lab's offerings beyond general inflammation tracking into specific risk detection for a condition affecting more than 35 million Americans.

Chronic kidney disease is often silent in its early stages, making it the kind of slow-moving, high-impact condition where earlier insight can change the arc of aging. The new agreement plugs ROKIT's kidney disease prediction technology into 20/20's existing OneTest for Longevity program, which launched in February and focuses on inflammatory biomarkers.

The companies suggest that people with lower systemic inflammation may respond better to regenerative treatments, including ROKIT's 3-D bio-printed tissue patches being developed for burns, chronic kidney disease and heart failure. Patients using these patches for burn treatment or chronic kidney disease are expected to see improved outcomes if they successfully reduce and sustain low levels of inflammation through consistent biomarker tracking and improved nutritional habits.

Under the agreement, ROKIT will reimburse 20/20 for one-third of the mutually agreed-upon sales and marketing expenses, while receiving a running royalty on the combined product's net sales. The companies also expect to negotiate a separate agreement that could give ROKIT exclusive rights to commercialize 20/20's longevity platform in Korea and potentially other East Asian markets.

The deal represents a practical approach to longevity diagnostics, focusing on tools that help people understand risk earlier, make better day-to-day decisions and potentially improve their response to treatment. By adding CKD prediction to its 20/20 Longevity Platform, the company is expanding beyond a general inflammation-focused view of health into a more specific risk-detection play.
