Bruker, The Jackson Laboratory, Ribbon Bio, and Human Longevity announced leadership and advisory changes. Bruker said that Falko Busse, an executive officer and president of the Bruker BioSpin Group, will transition from those roles on or around May 1, 2026, and his employment with the company will end on Oct. 31, 2026.
The Jackson Laboratory has appointed Steven Holstein as senior VP of external affairs. Holstein has more than two decades of leadership experience spanning financial services, healthcare, and life sciences.
He previously held senior roles at MassMutual, Guardian, and Fidelity Investments, where he led enterprise marketing, distribution, and growth strategies. Most recently, he served as managing director and head of business development at Outcome Capital.
Urs Spitz has been appointed as chair of the board of directors of Austrian cell-free DNA firm Ribbon Bio. He is the former CEO and co-owner of Biosynth and a life sciences investor.
Geoffrey Hinton has joined Human Longevity as a scientific advisor. He will help guide the company's strategy to build a platform for disease risk prediction and early disease detection, and Hinton won the 2024 Nobel Prize in physics for his contributions to machine learning and neural networks.
