Paracetamol (acetaminophen) is an analgesic and antipyretic medication commonly used for pain and fever relief. It is widely available under brands such as Tylenol and Panadol. In the U.S., it was first marketed in 1950 and reintroduced in 1952.
Egetis Therapeutics completed its rolling New Drug Application for Emcitate® (tiratricol) for MCT8 deficiency in the USA on January 29, 2026. The drug received European Commission approval in February 2025 and launched in Germany in May 2025.
