Ibrutinib is an oral Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitor marketed as Imbruvica. It is used for B-cell malignancies such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma and Waldenström macroglobulinemia, and also for chronic graft-versus-host disease. The FDA first approved it on November 13, 2013.
Several drugmakers saw shares fall after earnings missed expectations. Alnylam's Amvuttra sales disappointed despite growth; Neurocrine's guidance underwhelmed; AbbVie's Imbruvica and Roche's Vabysmo fell short of consensus.

AbbVie's Q2 2026 revenue hit $16.99 billion, beating estimates, but full-year EPS guidance was cut to $13.97. Growth in immunology and neuroscience continued, and the FAST study on ubrogepant wrapped up.

Johnson & Johnson raised its full-year forecast after stronger-than-expected quarterly results driven by cancer, immunology and neuroscience drugs. Sales were $24.56 billion and adjusted earnings were $2.46 per share, with Innovative Medicines sales rising 10.0% to $15.76 billion.
