Hidradenitis suppurativa is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by painful, recurrent nodules, abscesses, sinus tracts, and scarring, typically in intertriginous areas such as axillae and groin. Disease course is relapsing and can cause substantial pain, drainage, and psychosocial burden. Pathogenesis involves follicular occlusion with subsequent inflammation and secondary infection.
AbbVie raised 2026 revenue and EPS guidance after first-quarter results beat estimates, with Skyrizi and Rinvoq driving growth. Humira erosion continued as neuroscience, oncology and pipeline assets supported the outlook.
