Glomerulonephritis is an immune-mediated inflammatory disease affecting the renal glomeruli and can present as acute or chronic nephritic syndromes. It includes diverse etiologies and pathologies and can progress to chronic kidney disease or end-stage renal disease if not treated. Clinical manifestations often include hematuria, proteinuria, edema, and hypertension.
