Dyslipidemia

Disease

Disease Profile

Dyslipidemia is a metabolic disorder characterized by abnormal blood lipid levels, including LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides. It is often asymptomatic but is a major cardiovascular risk factor because persistent lipid abnormalities promote atherosclerosis and vascular events. Management includes lifestyle interventions and lipid-lowering therapies based on risk.
