Neurovascular Unit for Aged Patients With Geriatric Care and Evaluation of Factors Associated With Autonomy Loss
NCT07805694 · Status: NOT_YET_RECRUITING · Type: OBSERVATIONAL · Enrollment: 3500
Last updated 2026-09-04
Summary
There are few neurovascular units (short stay and MRS (medical and rehabilitation service)) dedicated to the care of older people after a stroke in France and around the world. The geriatric medicine department at Charpennes Hospital developed this unit more than 20 years ago, giving it unique experience and expertise acquired over many years. However, to date, the profiles of patients included in these units and the factors associated with loss of independence and the outcomes of older patients hospitalized in neurovascular units for older adults remain unknown. In this context, the NUAGE study aims to describe the population cared for in this unit and analyze the factors associated with patient outcomes.
