Summary

This study evaluates whether adding breathing exercises to standard physical therapy helps improve lung function and overall well-being in people with cervical discopathy (neck problems).

Participants diagnosed with cervical discopathy will be divided into two groups. One group will receive 15 sessions of standard physical therapy, which includes Ultrasound, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), infrared therapy, and neck exercises. The second group will receive the exact same standard physical therapy, but with an added specific breathing exercise program for 15 sessions. Researchers will measure the patients' breathing capacity, neck pain levels, and psychological well-being before the treatments start and right after the 15-session program ends to see if the added breathing exercises provide extra benefits.

Conventional Physiotherapy

A 15-session protocol consisting of Ultrasound, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), infrared therapy, and isometric neck exercises.

BEHAVIORAL

Breathing Exercises

A targeted respiratory exercise program added to the conventional physiotherapy, aimed at improving the function, strength, and endurance of the respiratory muscles over 15 sessions.
