Summary
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die.
PURPOSE: Randomized phase I trial to compare the effectiveness of two different regimens of vinorelbine in treating patients who have metastatic or advanced solid tumors.
