EuropaBio Partners with Bio Innovations Europe 2026; BIOTECH AUSTRIA Strengthens Ties

EuropaBio joins Bio Innovations Europe 2026 as Headline Partner; the June 10-11 event in The Hague expects over 500 attendees and 1,500 meetings. BIOTECH AUSTRIA has been a member since 2025, backing the EU Biotech Act.

EuropaBio, the European Association for Bioindustries, has joined Bio Innovations Europe 2026 as a Headline Partner for the event taking place 10–11 June 2026 in The Hague, Netherlands. The partnership comes as the EU Biotech Act and other policy initiatives are set to catalyze the European bioeconomy.

Bio Innovations Europe, formerly known as World Bio Markets, has seen pre-arranged meetings surge from 160 to over 1,050 in 2025, a 550% increase since its 2022 relaunch. The 2026 edition is set to host more than 500 attendees and facilitate 1,500 commercial meetings between bio-developers and producers, chemical manufacturers, consumer brands and intermediates, community enablers, investors and financiers, and suppliers. The event remains the only one specifically focused on the challenges of moving from lab to market, with EuropaBio and the nova-Institute serving as Headline Partners.

EuropaBio, founded in 1996 and based in Brussels, represents companies and national associations to strengthen innovation, regulatory clarity, and competitiveness in the European biotech industry. Since 2025, BIOTECH AUSTRIA has been a member of EuropaBio. In 2023, BIOTECH AUSTRIA established several working groups supporting the association, and its 2026 motto is “Start up, Scale up… Step up!” The Austrian government has formally identified life sciences and biotechnology as a strategic key industry.

The EU Biotech Act lowers barriers to innovation, modernizes approval processes, and facilitates collaboration between science, industry, and regulatory authorities, creating a foundation on which start-ups, scale-ups, and established companies can grow. EuropaBio is leading on the EU Biotech Act and other policies building an EU single market for biotechnology products in sectors including food, feed, chemicals, and cosmetics.
