CRISPR Medicine News Launches Global Clinical Trials Database 2.0

CRISPR Medicine News launched its Global Clinical Trials Database 2.0, a manually curated resource covering over 300 gene-editing clinical trials. The database includes ex vivo and in vivo therapies, LTFU studies, and clinical data, with open and paid access levels.

CRISPR Medicine News (CMN) has launched its Global Clinical Trials Database 2.0, a manually curated resource covering over 300 clinical trials in the CRISPR-genomic medicine field. The database aims to be the most comprehensive, up-to-date global database of clinical trials involving gene-editing technologies, including both ex vivo gene-edited cell therapies and in vivo gene-editing therapies. It is available with open access (free) and full access (paid) levels, providing different sets of filters and functionality.

The database is manually curated by the CMN Intelligence team. Long-term follow-up (LTFU) studies are included as non-interventional studies that do not involve administration of a therapeutic, instead following patients who have previously received a gene-editing therapy or gene-edited therapy in another trial. Clinical data are included where publicly disclosed, under sections for press releases, publications, and clinical data, which may contain press releases, news articles, publications (peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed), and patents. Information on delivery, target gene, therapeutic candidate, and gene-editing modality is compiled from patents, publications, company slide decks and websites, public disclosures, news sources, and occasional communications with sponsors; some fields may be incomplete due to limited public disclosure.

The database's structure, taxonomy, categorization framework, curation methodology, annotations, written content, design, and presentation are the intellectual property of CRISPR Medicine News. Open-access content may be viewed and used for personal, educational, clinical, or non-commercial research purposes, provided that CRISPR Medicine News is clearly cited as the source. Without prior written permission, users may not reproduce, redistribute, republish, or publicly display substantial portions of the database; systematically extract, scrape, mine, or harvest database content; create derivative databases or products; use database content for commercial resale, licensing, competitive intelligence services, or product development; or circumvent technical safeguards or access controls.
