Dapagliflozin is an oral SGLT2 inhibitor marketed as Farxiga/Forxiga for type 2 diabetes and also used in heart failure and chronic kidney disease populations. It lowers blood glucose by increasing urinary glucose excretion through renal SGLT2 inhibition. It is prescription-only in major markets.
