Carboplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapy drug used in multiple cancers including ovarian, lung, head and neck, brain cancers, and neuroblastoma. It was developed as a less toxic analogue of cisplatin and is administered intravenously. It is prescription-only and has long-standing global clinical use.
