Bempedoic acid is an oral cholesterol-lowering medicine marketed as Nexletol for hypercholesterolemia management. It is used as adjunct therapy in adults who need additional LDL-C lowering, including those with established cardiovascular disease or familial hypercholesterolemia. The drug was approved in the U.S. and EU in 2020.
