Avastin is the brand name of bevacizumab, a monoclonal antibody anti-VEGF therapy used across multiple cancers and selected ophthalmic disease settings. It inhibits angiogenesis by targeting VEGF-A and is administered intravenously for oncology uses. Bevacizumab was first approved in the U.S. in 2004.
