Austedo (deutetrabenazine) and Austedo XR are oral VMAT2 inhibitors indicated in adults for chorea associated with Huntington's disease and for tardive dyskinesia. The products carry a boxed warning regarding depression and suicidality in patients with Huntington's disease. Initial U.S. approval was in 2017.
