Atezolizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody immunotherapy targeting PD-L1, marketed as Tecentriq. It is used in multiple oncology indications including lung cancers and hepatocellular carcinoma, with some prior indications later withdrawn. It is a prescription antineoplastic biologic.
The FDA approved Tecentriq and Tecentriq Hybreza for adjuvant muscle-invasive bladder cancer with ctDNA molecular residual disease after cystectomy. The Phase III IMvigor011 study showed a 36% reduction in recurrence or death and a 41% reduction in death.
FDA approves Genentech's Tecentriq as first ctDNA-guided adjuvant therapy for muscle-invasive bladder cancer, and Venclexta plus acalabrutinib as first all-oral fixed-duration regimen for CLL.

Merck will acquire Terns Pharmaceuticals for $6.7 billion to bolster its cancer pipeline ahead of Keytruda's 2028 patent expiration. The deal gives Merck access to TERN-701, an oral tyrosine kinase inhibitor for chronic myeloid leukemia.
