Plaque psoriasis is the most common clinical form of psoriasis, characterized by well-demarcated erythematous plaques with silvery scale due to chronic immune-mediated skin inflammation.
Alumis reported that 54% of psoriasis patients achieved complete skin clearance (PASI 100) at 48 weeks in the ONWARD3 study, with 75% achieving PASI 90. The company plans to submit an NDA for envudeucitinib in Q4 2026.
Eli Lilly's Taltz-Zepbound combination achieved significant improvements in two Phase 3b trials for plaque psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis with obesity. Combo therapy led to complete skin clearance and weight loss in psoriasis, and rapid disease activity reduction in psoriatic arthritis. The results were presented at AAD 2026.
FDA approved roflumilast cream 0.3% (Zoryve) for plaque psoriasis in children age 2+, the first once-daily steroid-free topical for that group. A meta-analysis found it improved IGA scores and was well tolerated.
In the BE RADIANT phase 3b trial, bimekizumab provided greater and durable improvements in patient-reported symptoms, skin clearance, and quality of life over 3 years compared with secukinumab in moderate to severe plaque psoriasis. At week 4, significantly more patients on bimekizumab achieved complete absence of itching, skin pain, and scaling. The benefits were sustained through 3 years, including after patients switched from secukinumab.
Eli Lilly reported positive phase 3b Together-PsO results for Taltz plus Zepbound in adults with plaque psoriasis and obesity or overweight. Separate meeting updates highlighted new oral plaque psoriasis therapies with biologic-like efficacy.
Johnson & Johnson said Tremfya met the primary endpoint in the Phase 3 FUZION study in active perianal fistulizing Crohn’s disease. At Week 24, both Tremfya dosing regimens showed statistically significant combined fistula remission versus placebo.
Arcutis is in focus after new Phase 3 extension data for Zoryve cream 0.05% in young children with atopic dermatitis and ahead of its Feb. 25 Q4 results. Investors are also watching recent FDA actions and pipeline updates for additional pediatric and dermatology indications.
Phase 3b TOGETHER-PsO trial shows concomitant use of ixekizumab and tirzepatide delivered superior skin clearance and weight loss versus monotherapy in adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis and obesity or overweight.
The FDA is set to make approval decisions on five drug applications in March 2026, including treatments for psoriatic arthritis, dry eye disease, hypothalamic obesity, cholestatic pruritus, and a rare genetic disorder.
Arcutis Biotherapeutics is scheduled to report fourth-quarter and full-year 2025 results on Feb. 25, after market close. Investors will focus on sales performance of Zoryve and pipeline updates.
