Medulloblastoma is a malignant embryonal tumor of the cerebellum and the most common malignant brain tumor in children. It can spread through cerebrospinal pathways and requires multimodal treatment.
Southern RNA and Providence Therapeutics will support a clinical trial testing personalized mRNA cancer vaccines for children with treatment-resistant brain tumors, marking the first multi-site pediatric study of its kind.
Research shows TET2-driven clonal hematopoiesis improves immune checkpoint blockade efficacy in solid tumors, while separate studies identify new immune pathways in childhood brain cancers and mechanisms behind immunotherapy resistance.
