Generalized myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune neuromuscular junction disorder with fluctuating weakness that extends beyond ocular muscles to bulbar, axial, limb, and potentially respiratory muscles. Disease severity can vary and may lead to myasthenic crisis requiring emergency care. It is often managed with symptomatic and immunosuppressive therapy.
