Biliary tract cancers are a group of cancers that form in the bile ducts or gallbladder and can also involve the ampulla of Vater. They are often diagnosed at an advanced stage because early symptoms are vague or absent.
A 30-year-old female with stage IV gallbladder adenocarcinoma achieved complete metabolic resolution of metastases after three cycles of pembrolizumab, gemcitabine, and cisplatin, despite presenting without traditional risk factors.
Antibody-drug conjugates targeting TROP2 with topoisomerase I inhibitor payloads are currently marketed in breast and lung cancer, with over 100 such ADCs now in clinical trials for various malignancies including gastrointestinal tumors.
