A phase I trial and a preclinical study found viral immunotherapy triggered T cell responses in glioblastoma. The clinical study enrolled 41 patients; the mouse study showed prolonged survival and immunologic memory.
Pfizer is running a Phase 1 open-label multiple-dose study of PF-08653944 in adults with overweight or obesity. The study will assess gastric emptying and safety, with an update filed on 20 April 2026.
NIH said it will no longer classify BESH studies as clinical trials for grant applications due on or after May 25, 2026. The change removes ClinicalTrials.gov registration and reporting requirements for those studies.
The US Food and Drug Administration sent messages on 30 March to more than 2,200 companies and researchers tied to over 3,000 clinical trials over missing ClinicalTrials.gov results. The agency said 29.6% of studies highly likely to be subject to mandatory reporting had no results information submitted.

It also issued warning letters over CGMP violations at a contract manufacturer and protocol failures that led to excessive dosing in a clinical study.
