Trial Outcomes & Findings for Changes in Gene Transcription and Immunophenotypes Following Mepolizumab Treatment for Asthma (NCT NCT05002621)

NCT ID: NCT05002621

Last Updated: 2026-03-18

Results Overview

Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were isolated from blood samples for bulk RNA sequencing. Paired differential expression (DE) gene analysis was performed comparing baseline gene expression versus 12 weeks post initiation of mepolizumab.

PRIMARY outcome

Timeframe: 12 weeks post initiation of mepolizumab

Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were isolated from blood samples for bulk RNA sequencing. Paired differential expression (DE) gene analysis was performed comparing baseline gene expression versus 12 weeks post initiation of mepolizumab.

Outcome measures

Outcome measures
Measure
12 Weeks Post Initiation of Mepolizumab
n=20 Participants
All 20 participants had peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) isolated from blood samples for bulk RNA sequencing at baseline and at 12 weeks post initiation of mepolizumab. Paired differential expression (DE) gene analysis was performed comparing baseline gene expression versus 12 weeks post initiation of mepolizumab.
Differentially Expressed Genes
149 differentially expressed gene
