Participant Flow

Study recruitment was conducted at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System (VAHCS) between January 2016 and October 2017. Letters describing the study were sent to veterans enrolled at the Minneapolis VAHCS who had a diagnosis of a psychotic or mood disorder. Veterans were given 2 weeks to respond to the letter. When veterans did not respond, research staff contacted them by phone to ask about their interest in the study.

Participants were not excluded after enrollment in the study. Several enrolled participants chose not to participate when they were informed of their eligibility, citing being too busy, changes in schedule, or new plans to move out of the area.
