Summary

Primary:

\- to evaluate the efficacy of phenobarbital in reducing seizure frequency.

Secondary:

* to confirm dose response relationship,
* to assess the effects on Type I seizures,
* to assess the safety of phenobarbital
* to assess the drug tolerability.
